As can be observed in the figure, plastic (57%) emerged as the most popular type of container fabrication material used in novel drug reconstitution systems. Ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) emerged as the preferred plastic type used for the fabrication of majority (41%) of novel drug reconstitution system containers. EVA is a hydrophobic polymer that offers great flexibility and does not require solvents for drug delivery. Polypropylene, having demonstrated good impact strength and improved resistance to moisture, is the next popular material used in the manufacturing of novel drug reconstitution systems.
